Where have you been? What have you done? And why?

08/2004 - u-cover

The 20th release for u-cover records is a split cd of Ontayso and Sense and Tim Koch, each act contributing with 20 minutes of music.
Ontayso joined by Iain Law from Iyunx Productions who for sure has given his unique touch to the Ontayso sound. Ontayso's 20 minutes are filled with down tempo rhythms, jazzy basslines, beautiful melodies and of course their well known ambient soundscapes and field recordings.
The second 20 minutes comes from Adam Raisbeck aka Sense. He begins with a robotic intro that then gives place to sweet, bright and clear sounds. Sense brings very warm and highly emotional music. Including a gorgeous mellow track with male vocals that at times remind us to Brian Eno or David Sylvian. Sense has definitely made a statement with his emotional electronic music.
At last comes Tim Koch with a proof of his electronic talents. Here you can find some manipulated sounds and voices, broken rhythms, joyfull drums and beautiful IDM elements. Very smart, mature and creative electronic music from this Australian master. The result is one hour of diverse and inventive electronica that shows the best of the three acts so far.
